our spiffy new hair

Here are Mommy and Feistygirl with our new haircuts. I'm only posting this because so many of you have asked! No, neither of us cried. We are waaaay too fabulous to cry over something as last year as long hair. In fact, we were both immediately thrilled with our fantastic selves. I've been enjoying people not recognizing me, and Feistygirl has been enjoying combing her bangs in the mirror while she sings.

Thank you so much, Auntie Lisbeth!

Thank you, everyone!

I wanted to make a public thank you to all of my readers who have been so encouraging and challenging to me. And I am so grateful for all the comments. I recently found links to my blog on others' sites and was happily surprised that I had readers I didn't even know about. I would love it if you all commented, too...just to say hi. I know that my buffet-style posting includes lots of social commentary and whatnot, but don't feel like you need to jump into that fray or say something that involves a lot of time. Even just a, "hi, I read your blog," would totally thrill me, and then I could link to yours as well and get to know you a bit. All that to say, what a lovely, lovely group and I am so blessed to have you all in my life. More on the human rights issues to of my new short haircut! And Feistygirl's haircut! May peace reign in your homes.

Sister Gertrude Morgan

My hubby just surprised me with the gift of this cd. I LOVE THIS STUFF! Listen to a cut on the website and you'll know the sound of the inside of my soul.

Bragging about my three year old

After grocery shopping yesterday, I told Feistygirl that we were going to drive by a house that we may want to buy. She said, "Is it a red house?" I replied, "No, it's a white house." She said, "Like in Washington?"

I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants.
